Introduction
Elementary Power is an online course, consisting of 100 units of English, and providing approximately 120 hours of study for students.
Course aims
To take students from Elementary, CEFR A1 up to A2. The course blends grammatical structures necessary for this level, with vocabulary, spelling, reading, listening, writing, and speaking.
Grammar
- Use present simple and present continuous verb forms, as well as simple past with regular and irregular verbs.
- Identify things using “there is/there are”, “have got”, possessive adjectives and pronouns, and the possessive genitive.
- Use comparative and superlative adjectives.
- Create yes/no and information questions.
- Use prepositions to give information about time and place.
- Use modal verbs “can” and “could”.
- Use adverbs of frequency.
Vocabulary
By the end of the course, students will have learned approximately 800 lexical items, including common nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and simple lexical sets.
Skills
By the end of the course, students will have practiced reading and listening to everyday routines, biographies, countries and cities, TV and films, and simple stories.
