Introduction
Advanced Business Power is an online course consisting of 50 units of English and providing approximately 60 hours of study for students.
Course aims
To give students at Upper Intermediate CEFR C1 level practice in general and business-oriented language required for general business contexts at this level. The course blends grammatical structures necessary for this level with vocabulary, reading, listening, writing, and speaking.
Gramatyka
By the end of the course students will be able to:
- talk about quantity
- accurately use countable and uncountable nouns
- use conditional sentences to talk about unlikely actions in the future and impossible alternative present and past situations and regrets
- use modal verbs to talk about possibility, certainty, advice, and obligation
- use gerund and infinitive forms of verbs
- use appropriate conjunctions and linking words to connect clauses and sentences
- use definite, indefinite, and zero articles
- use appropriate forms to express a variety of future situations
Słownictwo
By the end of the course students will have learnt approximately 400 lexical items including nouns, verbs, adjectives, phrasal verbs, idiomatic language, and lexical sets.
Skills
By the end of the course students will have had exposure to and practice in reading and hearing formal and informal English from a variety of business contexts, including meetings, presentations, travel arrangements, and dealing with staff.
