Introduction
Pre-Intermediate Power 60, Course A is an online course, consisting of 50 units of English, and providing approximately 60 hours of study for students.
Course aims
To take students through many areas of English language that are studied at Pre-Intermediate, CEFR A2 level. When combined with Pre-Intermediate Power 60, Course B, it will take students up to CEFR B1 level. The course blends grammatical structures necessary for this level, with vocabulary, wordbuilding, spelling, reading, listening, writing, and speaking.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Use articles correctly.
- Use the genitive form to talk about possession, and possessive pronouns.
- Use modal verbs like “must” and “should” for obligation and advice, and “may” and “might” for possibility.
- Use “some” or “any” for quantity, and “can” and “could” for ability.
- Use “much”, “many”, and “a lot of” for quantity.
- Use the correct prepositions with nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
- Use adverbs of manner to talk about how an action is performed.

By the end of the course students will have learned approximately 400 lexical items, including common nouns, verbs, adjectives, and simple lexical sets.
Skills
By the end of the course students will have had exposure to and practice in reading and hearing about everyday routines, families, pets, descriptions of cities, and descriptions of food.
