We often use <span class=\"example\">ever and never.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"example\">I&#8217;ve seen<\/span> all Tarantino&#8217;s films.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"example\">Have you ever eaten<\/span> sushi? &#8211; <span class=\"example\">Yes, I have. \/ No, I haven&#8217;t.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>2) Recent past actions that are important now.<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Oh no! <span class=\"example\">I&#8217;ve left<\/span> my wallet on the bus.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"example\">The president has resigned.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>3) Past situations that are still happening now.<\/h2>\n<p>We often use <span class=\"example\">how long<\/span> with <span class=\"example\">for<\/span> (throughout a period of time) and <span class=\"example\">since<\/span> (from a point in the past until now) and we describe the duration of an activity or state:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4826\" src=\"https:\/\/letslearnenglish.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/pres-perf-for2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"335\" height=\"267\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4826\" src=\"https:\/\/letslearnenglish.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/pres-perf-for2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"335\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span class=\"example\">I haven&#8217;t seen<\/span> <\/strong>Jenny this morning.
